As many of you may know if you’ve read any of our posts, I am not a gardener. I wonder why I even try each year, when I know I’m a plant murderer, but I do and I am again this year lol.
I have barely done any crafting this week because I’ve been “playing ” outside.
I have posted a few pictures of the little mail box garden I’ve been working on. I hope to finish that today…..
Three hours later and ….. It’s done!
Here you can see how helpful Kita is lol. I think she was guarding the flowers.
Today I am also going to plant our little “herb garden.” Kim wants to try to make some home grown teas to go in our Christmas preserve baskets, so I got lemongrass, chamomile, this cool chocolate mint and then I bought dill for when we make our pickles, chives and coriander just because. Anyone want to put bets in on how long it takes me to kill them ?
And as if that isn’t enough murder victims for me, I also bought a few tomato and cucumber plants to kill! Poor plants!
We will post updates on our little herb garden and let everyone know how it works and if I don’t kill them all, how the harvest and tea making process goes!
Oh, and I also got a few red and white flowers for the mail box garden for the Canada Day BBQ we are having next weekend.
Hopefully we will have some Canada Day crafts to post this week, as well as some of the tin can crafts I wanted to do last week. I have managed to round up enough cans to at least do a few crafts and I thought I could turn some of them into Canada Day crafts as well!
