Homemade Reed Diffusers

Today I made a few reed diffusers to place throughout the house.  I did one with lavender in the hopes it will keep at least a few of the mosquitos at bay!

These are quick and easy to make and make your house smell great!

I started out with my three bottles (and no the one in the middle is not a beer bottle lol, it was from some kind of BBQ sauce), some skewers, branches, essential oils, carrier oil (I used baby oil) and the stuff I wanted to use to decorate them.

I decorated my bottles…. one with rhinestones, one with sequins and buttons and the last with twine and buttons. I adhered everything with my dreaded glue gun.

I added the carrier oil to each bottle, food colouring in the clear bottles… burgundy in the rhinestones and copper with the twine.

I added about 15 drops of essential oil to each bottle.  The rhinestone with vanilla raspberry, the twine with cucumber melon and the brown bottle with lavender.

I added what I was using for reeds, and that was it.  Three wonderful smelling diffusers to place throughout the house.
