Galaxy Night Light

With all the “Galaxy” crafts right now I decided to jump on the band wagon.  I chose to make a Galaxy night light.  This did take a bit of imagination because all of the glass ornaments I got I could not fit the light bulb in and the plastic one was too wide to be plugged in after it was done.

With a little help, I managed to figure a way out to make it work!

This craft requires a dollar store night light, a plastic Christmas ornament, Sharpie markers and rubbing alcohol.

Chris cut a portion off the back of the ornament for me so that once it was done I could actually plug it in.

I coloured the whole thing with sharpie markers until it was fully covered.

I started to spray it with rubbing alcohol and to use a cotton ball, that also had rubbing alcohol to sort of smudge the marker.

When I was happy with how the smudge effect looked, I drew on some little stars with a gold coloured sharpie.

I sprayed it with sealer and let it dry.

Then I glued the top of the ornament, the portion with the hole, to the base of the light on the night light and that is how I made my Galaxy Night Light!
