Bacon Wrapped Onion Bombs

I have made these before and they were a bit hit.  They are cooked in the oven but can also be done on the grill if you choose.

Here are the ingredients I used.

I began by mixing up the ground beef with the bbq sauce, bread crumbs and egg.

I peeled and cut my onions so that I had 8 half onion pieces.

I divided this mixture into 4 and rolled each portion into balls.

I wrapped the meat “balls” with 2 or 3 of the onion pieces to surround the meat ball and then wrapped the whole thing with bacon.  I used 2 slices per “ball.”

I placed them in my baking pan and brushed them with more bbq sauce.

And then I baked them at 375 degrees for 40 minutes and served them with my Cheesy Hash Brown Casserole!
