Guitar Pick – Guitar Holder

This is another one of the wood crafts I am making for a Christmas gift for my son-in-law. This time I am making a guitar holder for him, shaped like a guitar pick.  Kim sent me a picture of something like this when I asked for suggestions.

I cut it from a 1″ pine board and then base painted it red. (You can see it at the back left when I did a whole bunch of base painting)

I used a website called cooltext to create the lettering I wanted for it and transferred that to the piece of base painted wood using carbon paper.

I drew an outline around where I want the hanger to be.

I painted the lettering and the swirls that will be on either side of the actual hanger I bought.

I applied a few coats of sealer.
I attached the guitar hanger part and a saw tooth hanger in the back, and it was all done!

This is my Guitar Pick Guitar Hanger!  Another gift done!!!
