Candy Cane Heart Suckers

I saw these a while back on Pinterest and just knew I had to try them.  I added them to a couple of packages for kids to dress them up a bit and they looked great.  These are actually very easy to make!

This is what I used to make them.

I arranged the candy canes into a loose heart shape with a lollipop stick in the centre on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.

I baked them at 200 degrees for 3 minutes.  I was surprised at how pliable this made them.

When I took them out of the oven, I squeezed the ends at the bottom around the stick and then squeezed the middle of the heart at the top so they stuck together too.

And then just filled the centres of them with melted white candy melts, sprinkled with crushed candy cane.

That’s how easy they are to make!

I wrapped them in plastic wrap and a bit of scotch tape and tied a couple of them on to gifts.  The gift wrapping idea was also from Pinterest.  We only have 2 children to buy for right now so I wanted to make the wrapping special for them lol!
