I am making a BBQ Chicken Pizza for dinner for Super Bowl Sunday. It has been a long, drawn out process and hopefully it is worth it in the end.
This is the BBQ sauce part of the BBQ Chicken Pizza!
Sandie
Here are my ingredients.
Mix everything together in a medium pot, and whisk until smooth.
Cook over medium heat until it comes to a boil, and let it boil for about 5 minutes.
Once it is done, pour half of it into the shredded chicken for the pizza or pour into a jar and store in the fridge until you are ready to use it. It will thicken as it cools.

I like how you use pineapple juice in place of sugar to compliment the molasses. It’s much better to do the molasses combined with the juice, I can imagine, instead of just doing brown sugar or a molasses-white sugar combo.

It is always well received, especially come bbq season. The pineapple juice also gives it a little bit of “tang” for lack of a better word.

Pingback: Crescent Roll BBQ Beef Sliders | Oh Yes, They Did
A great way to take your homemade bbq sauce to the next level is to use it in a slow cook dish. I take a piece of brisket of beef and seal it on a hot charcoal bbq grill (to get a smoky flavour). Then I place the browned meat into a thick bottomed saucepan and add sliced onion and carrot. Next, I add the homemade bbq sauce and an equal amount of beef stock and simmer until tender. During the cooking process, the bbq sauce should reduce back down to a bbq sauce consistency. Then slice the beef thinly and serve on bread rolls with some of the meaty and smoky bbq sauce. If anyone whats to improve their BBQ skills I wrote a couple posts here. https://wannabetvchefblog.wordpress.com/2015/06/13/the-art-of-cooking-on-a-barbecue-part-one/
