Montreal Steak Spice

Let me start by saying that Chris LOVES bbq… and even more so… bbqed steaks. He likes them cooked most ways, with or without bbq sauce, with steak sauce, but especially with this spice mixture. When we rub/bbq them with this he doesn’t use any bbq or steak sauce on them… that’s how good they taste!

This takes all of about 5 minutes to make, and if you don’t shake the jar the layers look great in the jar for gifting!

Here are the ingredients. (Except for the salt and pepper 😳)

Measure all the spices into your jar (see what I mean about the layers?)

Shake the jar and it’s ready to use!

Rub it on your (room temperature) steaks about a half hour before you start to bbq….

Bbq to desired doneness and enjoy the wonderful flavour!

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. Coarse salt
  • 2 tbsp. paprika
  • 2 tbsp. onion powder
  • 1 tbsp. coriander
  • 1 tbsp. dill
  • 1 tbsp. crushed red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. Measure all ingredients into jar.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Rub onto room temperature steaks half hour before cooking.
  4. Cook to desired doneness.
