Applesauce Oatmeal Quick Bread

It is nice to have different quick breads in the “rotation” to choose from when making treats for Chris and Dillon’s lunches for work. While banana bread will always be the number one go to for quick breads in their opinion, this one comes in a close second. It is full of delicious applesauce, oatmeal and cinnamon, to name a few ingredients, and is very quick and easy to prepare!

It disappeared so quickly I didn’t even get a chance to take a better picture lol!

Maple Baked Donuts

Maple… a Canadian icon all on it’s own lol! Whenever I tell Kim I am baking anything maple I swear her eyes glaze over and the rest of the conversation is lost on her lol. I honestly think she would drink it straight from the bottle if no one was looking! While I am not quite the maple addict she is, I do enjoy these donuts when I make them! The fact they are baked instead of fried is a big bonus!

Butter Tart Pan Squares

This is something I can remember my mother making… mainly around Christmas for cookie trays and such. But… in my opinion, anything butter tart can and should be made all year. I made these on Sunday for lunch box snacks. I am sure Chris will be the hero of the lunch room… again lol!

These are delicious, albeit sweet and much easier to make than actual butter tarts!

Porch Sign

It has been a crazy busy few days… crazy enough that I didn’t even get anything posted for yesterday! I had this sign done and ready to post but didn’t get the actual typing done.

This project was one of 4 signs/projects I base painted the other day.

This is a sign where I used an SVG cut file I purchased from an Etsy seller and some leaves and dragonflies I purchased from the Cricut Design space. I did the wording and then put the dragonflies down the sides with the leaves.

It might not be as fancy as some other patterns/projects but it was fun to experiment a little!

Once it was done, I sealed it because I knew it was going on the back deck/porch.

Hopefully I get the other two done today or tomorrow to post!

Canvas Block Home Sign

Wow! I got so busy “playing” this morning that I almost forgot to type a post!!!

I have been playing with my Cricut again. Yesterday I base painted a few different surfaces to give me something else to “embellish.”

I base painted a canvas block, a piece of fence board and two hanging signs I got from the dollar store a while back.

This is the first project. I decided to do an old favourite… a “Home Sweet Home” sign/picture!

I found a free pattern on Pinterest and cut it out with the Cricut. I did a sort of cream colour on a wine/burgundy background.

This is how my project turned out!

I am just waiting for the chalk paint wax to dry and seal it before I hang it up!
