“Tide Pods” Pumpkin Containers

I have been saving the containers I get my Tide Pods laundry detergent in. I had no idea what I wanted to do with them, so I just left them on a shelf in the laundry room until I decided.

Last week I finally decided exactly what that would be! I was doing laundry and looked over at them and thought to myself, “they look a lot like pumpkins.” So that is what i decided to turn them into.

They would be great just as decor, or a great place to put Halloween goodies in on the big night!

I started out with this type of Pods container.

I cleaned out any detergent residue from inside and used a Goo remover to take the labels off the containers.

I painted the lids green and part of one of the actual containers because it was not orange at the top.

Once the paint was fully dried, I cut some pumpkin faces using my Cricut.

I varethaned the sections with the green/brown paint and then glued the cork and a leaf to the top of each for a stem and leaf and then applied the vinyl I cut for them.

And there you have it… recycled “Tide Pods” container Pumpkins!

I decided for now to put them up on the buffet!
