Bacon Mushroom Cheese Burgers

No, we still don’t have our BBQ set up or replaced but I had one of my thankfully rare hankerings for a burger… even knowing the consequences lol! I wanted something a little different so I made these burgers that I ended up cooking in the frying pan and topped them with flavoured fried mushrooms, bacon and cheese and finished it off with a mayonnaise sauce and everyone cleaned their plates lol… the boys managed to eat 2 each plus their fries I made in the air fryer!

“Jerk” Burgers

Chris and Dillon LOVE the Jerk seasoning I make. Chris especially loves it on wings, even though I bake them in the oven and don’t deep fry them. While they are much healthier because of not deep frying them, for him it’s the flavour. I have made Jerk chicken wings, chicken thighs, drumsticks and now burgers.

With our BBQ still not being ready/replaced yet, I just threw these burgers in the frying pan, toasted the buns in the oven and they loved them! Lots of flavour and adding a slice of baked pineapple sprinkled with cinnamon and nutmeg on top was an added taste to the Jerk Burgers!

I find burgers hard to photograph…. and they probably would have looked better in the pictures if I had used smaller buns lol… but here they are!

Bacon Cheddar Ranch Burgers

I don’t know about anyone else, but with the nicer weather starting, everyone here has had a mad hankering for burgers. While the grill isn’t cleaned and ready to go yet I still made some burgers the other night and just cooked them up in the frying pan.

They were so delicious…. the first burger of the season… even thought it wasn’t cooked on the grill lol!

I know that burgers don’t generally take very good pictures…. I still took one for this post.

Feta & Garlic Burgers

Here is another easy homemade burger recipe.  I have been having fun experimenting with different combinations since I got the Patty Press at Christmas.  There are just so many different ways to make a burger…. what type of meat, cheese, all the add ins… the possibilities are endless! This is just one of the combinations I made for dinner the other night!

I served them with some crinkled dollar chips I made in the air fryer!

Whiskey Parmesan Burgers

I know it’s an awful thing to say lol, but I am going to blame my baby granddaughter for my lack of a post yesterday! Kim, hubby and my grandbaby came up on Sunday…. very early.  Chris decided he was going to take Dillon and Codey out on the boat fishing for the day, so we sent them off with a packed lunch, lots to drink, sunscreen and worms.  They had a nice day fishing although from the stories, only Codey caught anything.  That gave me a chance for a girls day with Kim and my granddaughter. While I didn’t get much accomplished, it was worth it to be able to enjoy my “baby” and my grandbaby for the day!  Thanks Kim lol… especially since I fell asleep on her mid-conversation!

I wasn’t sure if they would be staying for dinner that night or not so I prepared some Whiskey Parmesan burgers.  They did not end up staying so I not only got a meal for Chris and Dillon out of the batch that night, I was also able to freeze enough for another meal!

Taco Burgers with a Salsa and Greek Yogurt Sauce

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Kim and family were coming for the day and for dinner on Sunday and she requested burgers and corn for dinner.  I was going to make plain old burgers but changed my mind and went with some taco burgers.  I combined the flavour of taco meat with some red onion and Monterey jack cheese and then made a salsa and Greek yogurt sauce for them.

Smokehouse Burgers with Caramelized Red Onion and Burger Sauce

Here I am experimenting with burger flavours again.  With a fresh bottle of liquid smoke in the cupboard it was destined to be added to these burgers.

These burgers again received kudos from Chris and Dillon and will be added to our burger rotation!
