2 x 4 Scrap Snowmen

I had an extra piece of 2 x 4 laying around from another craft and asked Dillon to cut it to size for me to make a few cute little snowmen with!

Cake Plate Christmas Cloche

Yes, I know it’s still early but I really wanted to try this.I think I saw something like this in a store window, it just wasn’t Christmas themed.

The kids bought me a beautiful cake plate for Mother’s Day probably almost 20 years ago and I thought it was perfect for this craft!

Here is what I started with.

I just used batting because it’s fluffier.
I cut out a circle to fit the cake plate and laid it on the base.

I arranged, and yes rearranged, the village items I bought until I found a scene I liked.

Then I used two sided tape to adhere them to the cake plate base.
I sprinkled a few sparkles over the scene, then put the lid back on.

And to finish it off, I added a nice bow to the ball at the top, the handle!

Recycled Perrier Bottle – Santa

When we were out somewhere recently, Chris bought himself a bottle of Perrier Water.  Once he was done and getting ready to recycle it, it caught my eye.  I don’t know why but I kept seeing a Santa head.  Weird, huh?  It might be weird, but I went ahead and started on my Santa head with the bottle!

What I love about recycled crafts, other than the actual recycling part, is that they are basically free crafts which is awesome in my books!

Gingerbread Man Wooden Spoons

This morning’s craft is another quick and easy/dollar store craft.  I picked up packages of wooden spoons for just over a dollar for a pack of three!

This would be a great craft to do with the kids, let them personalize their own Gingerbread Men!

I made these ones to add to our Christmas Preserve Baskets, just as a little decoration.  I will also be making some Snowman Wooden Spoons later in the week!

The time has come for me to get my butt in gear to get ready for Christmas.  In the coming weeks/months, I will be posting both Christmas gifts and Christmas decorations.  Hopefully I don’t accidentally give anyone a sneak peak at one of their gifts!!!

Repurposed Coffee Pot – Part #2 -Penguin

Here is the second of the two coffee pots I have been working on this week.  This one is painted on a vintage espresso maker I won at one of my auctions.  I also have to admit that he started out as a snowman!  I had every intention of this pot being transformed into a snowman until I saw what the “nose/carrot” placement looked like once painted. At that point I decided he looked more like a penguin and had to repaint the base black instead of the white I had started out with.  He is still pretty cute so I am fine with it lol!

Repurposed Coffee Pot – Gingerbread Man

Kim and I are getting ready to do a Christmas Craft Sale this year so I have been doing some painting… that’s where I have been for the past couple days.  Base painting and waiting for paint to dry mostly.  The waiting is not my favourite past time!

This coffee pot was the pot that remained from an old coffee maker that stopped working years ago, and another one of those things that Chris found when cleaning out the “middle” garage lol. I thought, why not repurpose it! (I also made another different coffee pot that I will try to post tomorrow!!)
