Peanut Butter Balls

These are a huge family favourite, they always have been for as far back as I can remember. They are such a favourite that I can always get Dillon to do the rolling part for me lol. While that isn’t necessary always a good thing, it is one thing I can mark off my list of things to do. This year he not only rolled the requisite “balls,” but he also made a log and a cube???? I don’t know if he is reverting back to his childhood and pretending it’s playdoh or what he’s up to but the help is appreciated!

Graham Crumb Cherry Balls

I am done my Christmas baking!!!!!!

I’m not quite sure why, but I seem to have done a lot of “ball” shaped treats for the cookie trays this year…. completely unintentional…. but these are another delicious addition to our Christmas cookies this year, something you will really want to try!

They will also make a nice contrast to the Cherry Surprise Balls that I make every year!

Funky Rolling Pin

When I was Christmas shopping at http://www.amazon.ca, I found these really cool rolling pins for making cookies.  They have a pattern made into them that transfers the pattern onto your cookies when rolling.  I chose one that had deer and used my favourite Gingerbread Cookies recipe with it.

Fruit & Nut Chocolate Drop Candy

I have been seeing so many “Christmas Countdowns” on social media and it seems everywhere I look. It got me to thinking about Christmas baking and all the fun treats I like to make for gifting. I made a bark similar to this candy a while back and yesterday I thought I would make Chris a treat (He LOVES Fruit & Nut chocolate bars) and make a batch of this candy.  As with the bar and most of the fudge recipes I make, this is very quick and easy to make using condensed milk and the microwave!

Condensed Milk “Christmas” Fudge

It has been a very traumatic/dramatic/draining weekend.  I am finally starting to lose some of the pain from the gout in my shoulder but yesterday we had to rush one of our dogs to the emergency vet clinic.  She is going to recover but had to have an emergency hysterectomy last night.  Thankfully she is now resting at home, drugged to the nines with a shaved/stitched up belly.

Obviously that took precedent over Christmas baking, posting, everything else…. I didn’t even make beds yesterday!  Today however, I made a batch of condensed milk fudge.  I love making fudge this way.  It is so quick and easy and you can add whatever you want to it to create your own version of the fudge.  I generally stick with making a batch of Chocolate Mint fudge but this year I thought I would also try this one. I will hopefully post the Chocolate mint one tomorrow!

“Craisins” Chocolate Bark

I wasn’t able to get much done this morning (or most of the week when I came down with a bout of gout in my shoulder).

Today the new cleaning lady was here so I couldn’t make a mess lol 😕

I thought this afternoon I could make something quick to post.  I have had posting issues this week, so I apologize.  I don’t know where the time went!

I have a line up of things to get done and post, I just have to get to them. Hopefully next week I will get more accomplished!

For now, here is some Craisins Chocolate Bark.  It makes a great gift for anyone in a nice tin or dressed up bag!

Salted Caramel Chocolate Fudge

Another Dr’s appointment tomorrow/today, thankfully I officially started my Christmas baking on Wednesday.  I will be posting as I make things. I think Kim and I are going to have a “Baking Day” in a couple of weeks to finish off any baking we are planning on doing.  On top of the Preserves baskets, I like to hand out cookie trays to a few people, homemade of course!
