Nutella Mousse

Sorry I have been absent for a few days. It’s been busy here. I had my out of town doctors appointment on Thursday, meaning nothing got accomplished that day.

Yesterday Chris and I were out on the water most of the day. We came home tired and sunburned but Chris was very happy the weather finally cooperated while he was still on holidays lol.

Before those two crazy days I made some nice Nutella mousse for dessert!

Sandie

Here are the 3 ingredients I used to make it!

I put the whipping cream in the bowl of the stand mixer with the sugar….

And whipped it until stiff peaks formed.

I added the Nutella…

And whipped it until it was mixed in and there were no streaks.

And that’s all it takes to make a flavourful Nutella mousse for dessert!

Garlic Buttermilk Drumsticks

Since we had a bit cooler day on Tuesday, I made some chicken drumsticks in the oven.  They were marinated for about 6 hours in the fridge in a garlicky, buttermilk mixture before baking until golden brown! It was something both “boys” thoroughly enjoyed!

Caramel Apple Dump Cake

Yes, another dump cake, but I have been so busy washing the walls and painting doors to get ready for Christmas that I’ve cleaned through a whole jug of cleaning solution and about 5 scrubbie sponges, and haven’t had a chance to do much else… meaning any dessert had to be quick and easy!

Here are the ingredients I used.

To start, I washed, peeled and thinly sliced the apples into the prepared baking pan.

Next I poured the caramel sauce over the apples and then sprinkled the cinnamon on top.

I sprinkled the cake mix evenly over the apples.

And then poured the melted butter over the cake mix.

I baked it at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes until the top browned and the filling is starting to bubble around the edges.

Fresh Strawberry Dump Cake

When I bought groceries Friday I bought some strawberries… not because I had any clue what I was going to do with them but because they just looked and smelled so good.  I suppose I could have just cut them and we could have had them like that maybe with some ice cream but we have our nephew up this weekend for a visit so I thought I would actually bake something with them.
